for Anaerobic Digestion Plant!

On 26 May 2008, the IuT Group received the Energy Globe, the most important and most prestigious environmental award world-wide, for its implementation of the ADOS principle in Singapore. CEO Jörg Trübl of IuT AG Seebenstein has accepted the award jointly with Edwin Khew, CEO of IuT Global Singapore. The award was presented in a ceremony attended by prominent business and political leaders in the European Parliament in Brussels. 853 projects from 109 countries have been submitted for the awards, which were given in the categories Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Youth.
“It is a great pleasure that we could contribute an essential part with the installion of the two main methan digesters, each 14m diameter and with more than 27m height the tallest digesters ever built”, said the owner and managing director of GLS Tanks International GmbH, Dipl.-Ing. Günther Fuchshuber. We consider it as a milestone for our international operating company.
„The tanks of this Anaerobic Digestion Plant were built under severe weather conditions (Monsoon) by our own erectors together with helpers from the Philippines. „All the credit is due to our erection crew“, says the technical supervisor Mr. Jürgen Hebesberger. It demonstrates once again the special position of GLS Tanks in the field of tank construction.
The Anaerobic Digestion Plant Singapore project submitted by the IuT Group is the most advanced digestion process for the conversion of organic waste into renewable energy.
In Tuas, Singapore, the IuT Group operates the first plant in Asia that digests organic waste while producing biogas and renewable energy. This facility is the largest of its kind in Asia, processing up to 800 tons of waste per day.
