The new GLS Tanks tank-bolt.

Bolts for the building of tanks have to provide some special characteristics.

They should be resistant against the stored media and easy to handle during erection. Bolts should also provide the highest level of strenght.

One of the problems was to avoid the co-rotation during erection.

According to that, special holding edges between head and shank were made.

This holding edges jam with the holes of the glass lined sheets to avoid the co-rotation during torque.

The disadvantage was that the enamel layer around the bolt was destroyed by the edges and the possibility of blistering increased.

GLS Tanks solved this problem by eliminating the holding edges in conjunction with the application of a special twist protection on the bolt-heads.

With this improvement we are setting another quality-impulse in tank construction.

GLS tank-bolt with vs. without holding edges.
