Calculation following second order theory!

We've opened up new resources.
Most FE Calculations assume that steel is an elastic material which follows linear rules. But that’s not realistic. But due to the complexity to display the real property of steel, most are using this simple linear FE Model.

We considered the real characteristics of steel, which means that steel is linear elastic only up to a certain limit, then the steel starts to yield and harden. We also considered the contact and the friction between the steel plates.

These “second order theory” calculation are “state of the art” in Finite Element Calculation, not only for bolted steel tanks - and is used normally by automotive and aircraft industry.

In the following you can see some images coming from our FE calculations.
